Kettlebells weights are measured in ‘pood’. This is a

Buying your First Kettlebell

However, if you are new to this training tool, you should know how to select the right weight before you commence training. For men, it is advisable, to begin with, a kettlebell weighing 16kg while lady trainees should ideally start with an 8kg kettlebell.

Also, remember to check out the handle or the ‘horn’ of the kettlebell. The horn should provide an easy and firm grip and you should be able to set your fingers comfortably around it without the handle banging too low on the forearm.
